Holly's Wedding

Holly and Scott tied the knot today! Holly and I became friends when she moved to Pella my senior year of high school and we have remained close ever since. I am so happy for her and Scott....they make a great couple! Holly is a great friend and I was honored to be part of her special day!

Tricia and I had fun taking pictures of Kate and Jacob today. Kate is almost 5 months old and Jacob is almost 4 months old. They are growing up too fast!

Pool Party!

The Johnson and Dettbarn kids came over this morning for one last swim in the pool before school starts. The kids had a blast playing with each other and splashing around in the water. It makes me sad that summer is almost over!

Iowa State Fair!

The Johnson family went the the fair tonight with Grandma and Grandpa. The weather did not cooperate like we were hoping, so we spent part of the evening walking around with umbrellas. However, that did not stop us from having a good time. Jack had a blast running around and seeing all the different animals. Mommy and Daddy had fun eating the food. Grandpa and I even tried the fried butter on a stick...it was messy, but good! This was Kate's first experience with the fair and she was a little indifferent. I think she will enjoy it more next year!

4 months old!

Katy is 4 months old today! I cannot believe how fast she is growing up! She is the sweetest baby and can always put a smile on our faces. She is still sleeping great. She naps well during the day and is sleeping 11 hours at night. In case you cannot tell from the pictures below, she is also a good eater. We like to call her our chunky monkey!

I always said Jack was a very good baby (and he was), but Kate takes being a good baby to a whole new level! She is so easy and always content. I think Kate knows how busy I am chasing Jack all day long that she is taking it easy on me. If that is the case, I have a feeling she will make it up to me someday...perhaps in her teenage years!
