6 months old!

Kate is 6 months old today! She is still a very happy baby and always has a smile on her face. She likes being in the middle of the action and enjoys sitting on the floor in the family room and watching Jack play. Its fun having baby that is content to just sit and play with her toys. Jack was such an active baby and he was mobile at a young age so I felt like we never got to enjoy the age of sitting! I am sure Kate wishes she could run around and play with her big brother, but Mom is hoping it will be a long time before she is mobile!

Kate is still eating and sleeping like a champ. She is eating more solid food and so far we haven't found anything she doesn't like! She also has two teeth now. We had a rough day or two when the first tooth made its appearance, but the second one came in much easier. We go into the doctor later this week for her 6 month check-up and I am excited to see how much she has grown since her last doctor visit.

Emmersen's 1st Birthday

Little Emmersen turned 1 today! We had a fun time celebrating her 1st birthday yesterday in Kansas City. The kids had fun running around, jumping on the trampoline, and helping Em open her birthday presents. They also enjoyed decorating cupcakes and making ice cream sundaes. With Jack being the only boy cousin on my side of the family, he gets picked on a lot by the girls. Fortunately, he doesn't seem to mind! He was so tired by the end of the day that he fell asleep within a few minutes of leaving and he slept the entire way home!

Science Center

Our family went to the Science Center tonight with Grandma and Grandpa. This was Jack's first trip to the Science Center and I think he had a great time! He had so much fun running around and exploring the different areas while the rest of us enjoyed the Body Worlds Vital exhibit. We are already looking forward to going back again!

Happy Anniversary!

It's hard to believe that Jay and I have been married for 5 years! I could not have asked for a better husband, father and friend. God has blessed our lives in so many ways and I look forward to what the upcoming years have in store for us!

Happy 2nd Birthday Tyler!

5 months old!

Our baby girl is 5 months old! Kate is still a happy, content baby and she always has a smile on her face. We have noticed how she has grown up and changed a lot over the past month. She is grabbing for everything now and always wants to be in the action. She loves watching her big brother play! Jay and I laughed the other day while watching Jack get mad at her for playing with a toy that he wanted. He already dislikes sharing with his little sister! We knew this day would come sooner or later, we were just hoping for later!

Eating and sleeping are still what Kate does best. We have affectionately given her the nicknames of "chunky monkey," and "chubbs!" She is just as sweet as ever and we continue to enjoy every moment with her.
