Holly's Baby Shower

We had a great time celebrating Holly and the anticipated arrival of her "little man" (due May 24) this morning. We decided to use a little man/mustache theme for the baby shower and it was a huge hit! We all had a good time eating great food, watching Holly open her gifts, and laughing at each other and our goofy mustaches! I am so happy for Holly and excited that we get to share this special time in our lives together. Hopefully our babies will grow up to be great friends, just like Holly and I!

Easter egg hunt and decorating

We had a small Easter egg hunt with the neighborhood kids this evening. Jack and Katy had a blast running around and playing with all the kids and hunting for their eggs. They were also excited to get their hands on the candy. Both of them had a mouthful of chocolate when we headed back for home!

Jay and I, along with the kids, had fun decorating Easter eggs tonight. Both Jack and Katy decorated their eggs with lots of stickers while Jay had fun using crayons to decorate his eggs. The kids had a hard time holding onto their eggs and by the end of the night, I think 5 eggs were cracked. Oh well! At least we all had fun!

Final Ultrasound

I had my 3rd and final ultrasound today. At the last ultrasound, they found that I had a marginal cord insertion. This just means the umbilical attached to the side of the placenta, rather than in the center. This required me to have another follow-up ultrasound to check the baby's growth. Everything from the ultrasound today looked good and the baby is growing as it should. Based upon the measurements taken, they think this baby weighs about 5 pounds right now. We tried getting a few more pictures of this baby, but it was a little challenging as he or she was practically kissing the placenta (as you can tell from the first picture!) It's hard to believe that in just 6 short weeks we will get to meet this sweet little one. We are so excited!

Baby Bump

I figured it was about time I took some pictures of my growing belly! These pictures were taken at 32 weeks. I went back and found a picture of me pregnant with Katy at 31 weeks, but was unable to find any pictures from my pregnancy with Jack that were close to the same time.

Phoenix trip

The Johnson family returned home late last night from a week long trip to Phoenix. We were so excited to get out of the house and leave the cold weather behind! We had a fun-filled week spent playing golf, shopping, visiting the zoo, eating at In-N-Out, swimming, watching a Phoenix Suns basketball game, and spending time outside in the fresh air! We were sad to return home at the end of the week to the cold weather and snow on the ground, but are happy in the fact that Spring is just around the corner. We have a lot to look forward to this year!
