Happy Birthday, Jack!
Jack celebrated his 4th birthday this year with a very special present...a new baby brother! We were a little sad that we could not spend the entire day with Jack, but we did manage to give him a little birthday celebration in our hospital room. He was all smiles while opening his birthday presents and eating his birthday cake, but I think he most enjoyed holding baby Andrew. We can already tell he is going to be a great big brother!

Circus Birthday Party
We celebrated Jack's 4th birthday and Katy's 2nd birthday today with a circus birthday party! The party was complete with circus games, circus food, family, friends, and good times! Jack and Katy had so much fun opening their presents, eating cupcakes, and playing with all the Johnson cousins. It was a fun afternoon for all!

36 weeks: comparing pregnancies
I thought it would be fun to pull out some old pregnancy pictures to compare to my current pregnancy. The pictures below show my belly at 36 weeks for all three pregnancies. I think they are all pretty comparable, but my baby bump definitely seems to stick out a little further with this pregnancy. I think its because all my muscles are so stretched out from being pregnant 3 times in the past 5 years!
I also added a new poll to the blog (see the right-hand column). Please cast your vote on whether you think this baby is a boy or girl!

2 years old!
Katy Mae is 2 years old! She continues to be our little sweet and sassy little girl and she brings a smile to our faces every day. Here are few highlights of her at 2:
- She loves big brother, Jack, and is always trying to copy what he does. Jack is always the first person she asks about in the morning when she wakes up.
- Katy loves dogs...in all shapes and sizes. She calls them "puppies" and whenever she sees one, she has to go over to say hi and give them hugs and kisses.
- She likes to watch Curious George and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
- Her favorite food is cottage cheese. She cannot get it in her mouth fast enough!
- She likes to dance and listen to music with Jack (who is obsessed with music these days!)
- Katy loves wearing her pajamas and gets upset every morning when its time to take them off and put clothes on. She prefers to wear her pajamas all day long (don't we all?!)
- Katy is in love with her blankie and binky, aka boo-boo. This is the same word that Jack used for his blankie and she kind of adopted that name for hers too. Except in Katy's case, boo-boo refers to both her blankie and binky...they are a package deal!
- She loves to give lots of hugs and kisses and one of her favorite things to say is "I love you too!"
- She still loves to eat and will eat just about anything we put on her plate. Even though she still has a big appetite, her weight gain has slowed down and she has dropped out of the 90th percentile (27.5 lbs - 60th percentile). She came so close to surpassing Jack's weight before she plateaued, even though there is a two year age difference between them! She is still very tall though, coming in at 35.5 inches, which keeps her in the 90th percentile. I have no clue where that comes from!
- Katy has a permanent smile on her face most days, which we love. I hope that never changes!
Happy Birthday, Katy!
Today we celebrated Katy's 2nd birthday! It is still hard for me to believe that my baby is already 2 years old! This evening, we took Katy to Chick-fil-a for dinner. It was family fun night at Chick-fil-a, so in addition to eating one of her favorite dinners and playing in the play-area, she got to make a special craft (making a firefighter hat) and see the inside of a firetruck. She was all smiles the entire evening!
After dinner at Chick-fil-a, we took Katy to Build-A-Bear at the mall. Katy got to pick out and build her own special teddy bear for her birthday present. She picked out a cute, flowery bunny and had fun helping to stuff, clean and dress her. She already loves her special bunny and I caught a cute picture of her sound asleep in bed with her bunny by her side!
Below are a few pictures taken at Grandma and Grandpa's house on Easter Sunday when we had a mini birthday celebration for Katy. As you can tell from the pictures, she enjoyed all the attention!
