4th of July

Happy 4th of July!  We had a fun day filled with the parade, swimming, sparklers, and fireworks.  It was extra special this year because Matt, Brittany, and the girls, came to visit.  We had so much fun spending time with them and we really wish they lived closer!

Barnyard Readers - Horses

Jack and I had so much fun last year during our Barnyard Readers program at Living History Farms that I decided to sign him up again.  The topic today was horses.  Jack had fun seeing and petting the horses, but just like last year, all he really wanted to see were the pigs!  He loves watching the pigs play in the mud.  Unfortunately, we did not see any pigs at the 1900 farm today.  Jack was a little sad, but he still had a good time.  Our friends, Heather, Ashlyn and Tyler were also at this session, so we had fun spending time with them.

2 months old!

The little man is 2 months old today!  He continues to be the sweetest, most content baby.  He is still eating and sleeping great (10+ hours at night!)  YAY!  When he is not eating or sleeping, he enjoys his baby swing, cuddles from Mommy and Daddy, and watching Jack and Katy.  They love their little brother so much!  Drew is always getting lots of hugs and kisses from them.  Fortunately, he doesn't seem to mind!

Picket Fence Creamery

I took Jack and Katy to the Picket Fence Creamery this afternoon in Woodward, IA.  The kids had fun seeing the cows and calves, and seeing the room where the cows are milked.  But I think their favorite part was getting to sample the chocolate milk and ice cream!  We left the creamery with lots of goodies....milk, ice cream, and cheese curds!  Yum!

We had a hard time getting them to pose for a picture!

Adventureland

The Johnson family spent the afternoon of Father's Day at Adventureland, courtesy of the EFCO employee/family outing.  We did not get to the park until 4:00pm, but we had just enough time to let the kids enjoy some rides and a few treats.  In keeping with tradition, we took the kids on the log ride and they both loved it!  Jack and Katy were exhausted when we left the park, but they immediately started asking when we could return!

Better late than never...

Below are a few pictures that were taken at my maternity photo shoot in early April when I was 36 weeks pregnant.  We had a tough time getting the kids to cooperate (as usual!), but luckily we still managed to get some good pictures!
