We returned home today from a week long vacation to Florida. We had a great Thanksgiving week filled with lots of swimming pool and beach time. It doesn't get any better than that for our family! The kids were so happy to be in the water again. And we were all excited to trade in our winter coats for shorts and sandals for the week!
We spent the first five days in Fort Myers Beach with Grandma and Grandpa. We had a lot of fun spending time with cousins, Kaiya and Saige, taking a day trip to Sanibel Island, celebrating Thanksgiving, and of course, swimming!
We traveled to the St. Petersburg area for the last two days of our trip. While in St. Petersburg, we were hoping to spend time at the hotel pool, but unfortunately the water was freezing cold, so we had to make other plans...which meant more time at the beach! We also visited the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, home to "Winter," the famous dolphin from the movie Dolphin Tale.
We all had a great week and were sad to return home to the cold. The kids are already asking when they can go swimming again. I have a feeling its going to be a long winter for them!
