4 years old!

Our little princess is 4 years old!!  It just doesn't seem possible!  She is still just as sweet as ever, but she has definitely shown us her sassy side this year :)

Here are a few highlights of Katy Mae at 4 years old:
  • She loves dressing up in her princess dresses....and this girl loves to accessorize!
  • Katy loves playing with her Polly Pockets and Barbie dolls.  She will spend hours at a time with them.
  • Her favorite phrase is "piddle please" (translation: pretty please).  She usually says this while batting her eyes with a big smile on her face so she can get what she wants....and usually it works!  We are in trouble!
  • Katy hates wearing underwear (she must get that from her Dad :)  It has gotten to the point now that she will lie when asked about it, because she knows if she admits to us that she is not wearing underwear, we will make her put them on.  "It just feels so much better without them, Mom" :)
  • She loves to be in the water and has become quite a good little swimmer!
  • Her favorite TV shows/movies are Sophia the First and Tinkerbell and her favorite books are Brave and Frozen.
  • At her 4 year check-up she weighed 36 pounds and was 40 inches tall, which puts her in the 59th and 55th percentile, respectively.

Phoenix!

We returned home from another wonderful week in Phoenix!  The weather was absolutely perfect (sunny and 90+ degrees every day!), which is just what we needed at this time of the year.  We had a great week filled with lots of golf, swimming, and a trip to the zoo.  We are already looking forward to going back next year!

100 days of school!

Jack celebrated his 100 days of school today!  He was excited to dress up like a 100 year old man and we just loved the picture they sent home from school showing what Jack will look like as an old man :)

Snow day

We had lots of snow over the weekend and the kids were so excited to dress up in their snow gear and head outside.  Jack only lasted about 5 minutes before he decided he was too cold and wanted to come back in.  Katy, on the other hand, could have played out in the snow all afternoon.

Jack lost his first tooth!

Jack was all smiles today when he lost his first tooth!  It had been loose for quite some time and finally Dad just yanked it out!  He left his tooth in his special tooth fairy pillow and the was so excited the next morning when he saw that the tooth fairy left him a gold dollar coin.  He is already telling us that he has 3 more teeth that are starting to wiggle!
