Anderson Family Reunion

Another fun Anderson Family Reunion is in the books!! Jay and I were so happy to host this year and I think everyone had a great time swimming, eating and playing games.  Such a fun afternoon of quality family time.  We are already looking forward to next year's reunion!!

Jack playing T-ball

We signed Jack up for T-ball again this year and I think he had a great time!  Last year, he was more interested in playing in the dirt and skipping from base to base, but this year, he really showed off his baseball skills.  He hit the ball like a champ and did a great job of fielding.  We are so proud of him!

4th of July!

It was another great day celebrating the 4th of July this year with the family. This is one of our favorite holidays, and as expected, it didn't disappoint!  It was a fun day filled with the Urbandale parade, pool party at our house, and sparklers and fireworks in the evening.  By the end of the day, we were all exhausted!!

Soccer

Jack and Katy enjoyed their soccer clinic this summer!  Jack was enrolled in the same clinic last year, but this was a first for Katy.  She was so excited to be playing with her big brother!  They learned some of the basics of soccer and hopefully it will give them a good foundation for their soccer leagues this fall and next spring!

Safety City

Jack had a great week at Safety City, put on by the Waukee Police Department.  This is a special class they host for the incoming Kindergarten students.  They learned lots of great information, such as bus rules, bullying, stop lights, bike safety, etc.  I think Jack had a great time and is all ready to start Kindergarten in the fall!

Katy's Dance Recital

Our little ballerina, Katy, did such a great job at her first dance recital!  It took a little bit of bribing as she has been showing us her stubborn, strong-willed side recently, but she was more than happy to show off her stuff on stage knowing she had a ballerina music/jewelry box waiting for her when she was done!  We were so proud of her and I think her 3-year old class stole the show....they were so cute!  She was all smiles the entire day.  So much fun!
