7 months old

Jack is 7 months old today! He is growing and changing so much every day. He is still a very active little boy....always on the move and always looking for anything he can get his hands on. Mommy and Daddy are constantly trying to stay one step ahead of him! Learning to crawl was his big accomplishment this past month. In addition, he now has two teeth, he loves to make motorboat noises with his mouth, and he laughs out loud and smiles all the time! He is a very happy little boy!

He was more interested in kicking his feet than smiling for the camera!

He's on the move!

Just a few days ago, Jack decided it was time to start crawling. It's a modified crawl, almost resembling a catepillar....but it gets the job done!

As you can see from the video, this kid already loves the remote! It must be a guy thing.

Naked cowboy

Jack was hoping to dress up as the naked cowboy for Halloween this year. We told him he would be too cold.

Happy Halloween!

Jack wishes all his family and friends a happy Halloween!! Our little lion had an exciting first Halloween. He helped Daddy hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters on beggar's night and he also spent an afternoon playing with the Johnson cousins in their costumes. Unfortunately for Jack, he will have to wait until next year to enjoy the Halloween candy!

Everything goes in this kid's mouth!

6 months old!

Jack is now 6 months old and continues to be a blessing in our lives! We have seen lots of changes in him over the past month. The biggest change being how active he has become! He started sitting up around 5 months old, but he really didn't have it mastered until 5.5 to 6 months. Now, he sits like a champ! He is also getting very close to crawling. (Yikes!! I am starting to worry about all the baby-proofing I still need to do around the house). Right now, he hasn't figured out how to get his hands and legs to move together. He will get up on his hands and knees and start rocking back and forth, but when he tries to move forward, he falls on his tummy. In the meantime, he manages to get anywhere he wants by rolling! Everytime I turn my head, Jack is in a different corner of the room! Yes, the days of him staying in one place are definitely over! We are having so much fun with him right now. He is still a very happy baby and it is rare to find him without a smile on his face!

The pumpkin patch

This past Saturday, we went to Carroll's Pumpkin Farm with Brian, Tricia and the kids. We also met up with Brian and Tricia's friends, the Miller's. We were hoping for good weather that day, but it ended up being very chilly! The older kids had a great time as there were a lot of fun activities for them (and of course they didn't mind the cold!) Jack, on the other hand, was less than amused and would have preferred to stay inside! Hopefully Jack's visit to the pumpkin patch next year will be a little more exciting!

Unfortunately, we saw this face several times during the day.
