Johnson Family Weekend

We celebrated the first annual Johnson Family Weekend at Sun Valley Lake this past weekend. The weather wasn't too great on Friday night and Saturday morning...but it ended up getting much better by Saturday afternoon. Everyone had a great time and we are already looking forward to the next Johnson Family Weekend!

Jack's haircut

Jack got his haircut with Daddy this week. This was actually his second official haircut. Back in April, we trimmed the hair on the back of his head....we couldn't stand to look at the mullet any longer! This time around, we had her trim everything. Jack did a pretty good job of sitting still, given his age. Giving him a sucker definitely helped the process go quicker!

Riding in Daddy's Jeep!

Today was such a beautiful day that we decided to take Jack for his first ride in Daddy's wrangler with the top down. Based on the smiles in the pictures below, I think it's safe to say he enjoyed the ride!

Memorial Day Weekend

The Johnson family headed down to Sun Valley Lake for a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. We couldn't have asked for better weather! We had a relaxing weekend filled with boating, swimming, roasting marshmallows by the fire pit, and spending time with good friends. We also spent a lot of time chasing Jack around the yard.....he is one busy boy! Jay and I found out how great the baby swing is....what a great way to keep Jack entertained and give Mommy and Daddy a break!

Brooklyn Grace

Our good friends, Adam and Julie, just had a baby girl last week! Her name is Brooklyn Grace and she is absolutely precious! We are so excited for them and we can't wait to watch her and Jack grow up together. We stopped over to visit them last night, but Jack didn't seem too interested in Brooklyn. He was too busy checking out the new baby gear and showing Adam and Julie everything in their family room that isn't baby-proofed yet! Jack did manage to grab her face though.....sorry Julie! Luckily, it didn't seem to phase Brooklyn....she just kept right on sleeping!

Tulip Time!

The Johnson family was in Pella this weekend celebrating Tulip Time. This is actually Jack's second appearance at Tulip Time....he was there last year when he was just 2 weeks old! This time he got to ride in the baby parade with Grandma and Grandpa and cousins, Avree and Kaiya. Matt and Tracie's little girl, Dana, also joined in the fun! The weather was pretty cold that day, but the kids kept warm under their dutch costumes and lots of blankets. All the kids did great and seemed to enjoy the ride....and I think Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed all the attention they were getting hauling around such cute kids. It sounds like the tourists got lots of pictures of them! Jack was so tired by the end that he nearly fell asleep on Kaiya. Luckily, she didn't mind.
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! I hope you have a wonderful day!
