It's a boy!!

We welcomed Andrew Robert Johnson into this world on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 6:47pm.  He weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 20 inches long.  He has a full head of dark hair and we think he resembles Jack.  We are so excited about this little guy and feel blessed beyond words!  



 

 

 

 





4 years old!

Jack is 4 years old!  Where has the time gone?!  Jack is growing and changing so much every day and we are having fun learning how to handle and deal with everything he has thrown at us (literally!).  He definitely keeps us on our toes!  Here are a few highlights of Jack at 4 years:

• He LOVES listening to music.  His favorite singer is Phillip Phillips (American Idol winner).  He knows all the words to 3-4 of his songs, with his favorites being "Home" and "Gone, Gone, Gone".  He has also taken a recent liking to Jack Johnson and the song "Upside Down" from the Curious George soundtrack.
• Jack loves riding his bike and scooter outside around the swimming pool
• He likes watching He-Man.  He takes our ipad when we aren't looking and uses it to listen to his music or watch He-Man.  He also likes scary people.  While watching He-Man, he pauses it on Skeletor so he can show us how scary he is!
• He loves getting out his suitcase and pulling it around the house.  He is still a little collector.  He likes to collect things and carry them around in boxes, containers, suitcases, etc.  We call him Hector the Collector!
• Jack has 3 friends - Joseph, Owen, and Nicholas.  He tells us all the time "he only has 3 friends....but tomorrow he will have 10!"
• He likes wearing black socks and his Mr. Incredible underwear.
• Jack was so excited for the new baby to arrive.  He predicted the baby would be a girl and her name would be Jesus :)
• He is still a picky eater, but seems to be having a bigger appetite as of late. He loves all carbs - crackers, bread, chips, pizza crusts, cookies...etc. He also really likes apples, bananas, dum-dum suckers, eggs and chicken nuggets.

Happy Birthday, Jack!

Jack celebrated his 4th birthday this year with a very special present...a new baby brother!  We were a little sad that we could not spend the entire day with Jack, but we did manage to give him a little birthday celebration in our hospital room.  He was all smiles while opening his birthday presents and eating his birthday cake, but I think he most enjoyed holding baby Andrew.  We can already tell he is going to be a great big brother!

Happy 4th Birthday, Jack!  We love you to the moon and back!

Circus Birthday Party

We celebrated Jack's 4th birthday and Katy's 2nd birthday today with a circus birthday party!  The party was complete with circus games, circus food, family, friends, and good times!  Jack and Katy had so much fun opening their presents, eating cupcakes, and playing with all the Johnson cousins.  It was a fun afternoon for all!

36 weeks: comparing pregnancies

I thought it would be fun to pull out some old pregnancy pictures to compare to my current pregnancy.  The pictures below show my belly at 36 weeks for all three pregnancies.  I think they are all pretty comparable, but my baby bump definitely seems to stick out a little further with this pregnancy.  I think its because all my muscles are so stretched out from being pregnant 3 times in the past 5 years!
