Family Fun Day!

Daddy took the day off work today so we could have a family fun day!  We started off the morning with family pictures, followed by cheeseburgers and milkshakes at Zombie Burger, a trip to Blank Park Zoo, and miniature golf.  What a fun day!

Neighborhood Block Party

Today was our neighborhood block party!  Our theme this year was "Colors of Summer."  The party was complete with a colors on wheels parade, sidewalk chalk contest, kids color run, food and fun!  The kids had a blast the entire time, but the highlight of the day was the kids color run.  They had so much fun getting doused with all the color!  The kids also enjoyed a special visit from the Clive Fire Department.  After dinner, we all settled by the fire pit for s'mores.  All in all, it was a great time and everyone (especially the kids) slept well that night!

I think Katy enjoyed the misters even more than the color!

I think its safe to say he had fun!

3 months old!

Sweet little Drew is 3 months old today!  He continues to be such a great baby.  He spends most days with a smile on his face.  We rarely hear him cry.  He is sleeping about 12 hours at night and is taking long naps in the afternoon.  Seriously, I didn't know it was possible for a baby to be this easy!  He is holding his head up pretty good now and he is doing lots of cooing, which we love.  I am trying to enjoy every minute with him, but I really wish there was a way to slow time down.  He is already growing up too fast!

3 months!
Such a happy little guy!

Barnyard Readers - Sheep

Jack and I visited the 1850 Pioneer Farm at Living History Farms today for the Barnyard Readers program.  The topic today was sheep.  Jack had a lot of fun on the long tractor ride and he seemed to enjoy watching the sheep.  But of course, when asked, his favorite part of the day was seeing the pigs!
