Neighborhood Block Party

We had our annual neighborhood block party this evening with a fun theme of the movie Frozen!  Our night was complete with a snowball (water balloon) fight, bike parade, building snowmen, and an outdoor showing of the movie.  Fun was had by all!

Color Foam Run!

Our family had a blast doing the color foam run this morning at Water Works Park.  The route was a little long for two toddlers....so we spent most of the run/walk carrying the kids.  It was a good workout for us!  Several families in our neighborhood joined us and I think everyone had a great time!

This is how Katy preferred to participate in the run :)
She decided to run the last 50 feet across the finish line!

15 months old!

Our little munchkin is 15 months old!  And he continues to be such a happy and laid back little boy!  Here are a few highlights of him at 15 months:

  • Drew is still obsessed with his tag blankie (and his thumb!)  (see pics below :)
  • He loves to give hugs and lay his head on our shoulders.  We love his cuddles!
  • He lights up when Jack and Katy enter the room.  It is hard for him to contain his excitement.  He is always trying to do whatever big brother and big sister are doing!
  • He loves to eat most everything we put in front of him.  His favorites are blueberries, eggs, muffins, bananas and kiwi.
  • At his 15 month check-up, he weighed just under 23 pounds (50th percentile) and was 33 inches tall (96th percentile!)
  • He has a mouthful of teeth!!  He is not a big fan of teething.  Its hard seeing our happy little boy so uncomfortable and fussy.  He gets lots of cuddles and blankie time when his new teeth are coming in.
  • He still loves balls!  And he is getting quite good at throwing them.  He runs up close to us and then throws it as hard as he can!  Ouch!
  • He gets lots of attention from all around him.  Its hard to resist his smile and giggles!

Jack T-Ball League

Jack had a blast this summer during his first t-ball league!  This was his first organized sport activity, and he loved it!  It was quite entertaining watching all the kids try to figure the sport out.  Jack had fun learning how to hit off the tee and fielding and throwing the ball....although I think his favorite thing was playing in the dirt in the field!  We also need to work a little more on getting him to run fast.  He usually made his way to 1st base with a casual jog.  We had fun watching him play and look forward to more sporting events as he gets older!
