Happy 4th of July!

The Johnson Family had a great time celebrating the 4th of July this year. We started off the day at the Urbandale parade with our good friends, Adam and Julie (and their little girl, Brooklyn). Jack loved watching the parade. It was no surprise that the firetrucks were his favorite! He also enjoyed chomping down the suckers and popsicles that were thrown out to the crowd. After the parade, we walked down to the carnival. By the time we got there, all the kids were sound asleep. We took advantage of this time by playing bingo. Jay and I were very close to winning several times, but unfortunately, we left empty-handed. Jack woke up just in time for a ride on the carousel, which he seemed to enjoy. After the carnival, we all went home and enjoyed a few hours of swimming in the pool with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Brittany, and cousins Avree and Emmersen. Then, we ended the night with a few fireworks and sparklers in our neighbor's driveway. It was a long, but fun day! God Bless America!
